This dancing Man

In shadows deep, he danced with death,
A tango tight, with stolen breath.
Each step a brush ‘gainst final sleep,
Where secrets lie in darkness deep.

Yet, through the dark, a light he saw,
Beyond death’s grip, beyond its maw.
And there he stood, beneath sun’s glow,
Awaiting you, in life’s sweet flow.

From death’s embrace, to your warm sighs,
In your arms, his spirit flies.
A dance of life, with beats so sweet,
Each moment with you, a heart’s retreat.

In your eyes, he glimpsed a world,
Where love’s soft melodies unfurled.
Each step with you, a leap towards skies,
Far from the ghostly, deathly cries.

In rhythm’s embrace, they swayed as one,
On life’s stage, a new dance begun.
From haunting waltz to love’s bright song,
Under stars where they belong.

With you, he found a gentler tide,
In your steps, he found his stride.
No longer a dance with shadow’s friend,
But a waltz with love, that never ends.

In your embrace, fears turned to dust,
In love’s dance, in each trust.
For in this waltz, he found the key,
Life’s sweetest steps are you and me.

But time, a thief, in silent stride,
Took you away, from his side.
In the wake, an empty stage,
Left behind, the turn of page.

The music stopped, the lights grew dim,
His world shrank to a single hymn.
In silence deep, he stood alone,
A dance of memories, all his own.

Once danced with death, then danced with life,
Now dances with a memory rife.
Though in the shadows, he now treads,
He cherishes the dance, in heart and head.

Even as days drift into years,
Through time’s passage, and unseen tears,
His love for her, an eternal flame,
Unfading, calling out her name.

In every step, in every dream,
Her memory, a constant theme.
For though she’s gone, her spirit stays,
In his heart, till the end of days.

He dances on, through pain and bliss,
Her absence felt in every kiss.
Yet, love endures, beyond life’s span,
Forever hers, this dancing man.
